Letters of Understanding – outlines the mutual expectations of the client and the Firm. Services that the Firm will provide and what is expected of the Client are clearly listed. These Letters will have to be signed and in our possession prior to any work being performed by the Firm. A copy of this agreement is available on My Tax Portal.
Updated Client Information – if you have changed your banking institution, address, or phone number (work and/or home), please confirm that we have your current information in our records.
Information submission – of coarse the earlier you submit your information, the earlier we can file the return. Provided all necessary documents are in our office by April 1, 2009 and no additional information is required, we guarantee the filing of your return on April 15, 2009
We encourage all of our clients to submit their information via the Tax Portal to reduce paper use and to fall in line with our effort to become as paperless as possible in 2009.
If clients MUST send in hard copies of their tax information, please do not send originals.
Again, we are making every effort to be paperless so all documents that are submitted to this office for use in tax preparation will be shred after being scanned into our system.
Additional Information Needed - In the event additional information is needed to complete your return, the Firm will send you an email outlining the items needed to complete the return. Ten (10) days following the initial email, clients will receive one (1) email and one (1) phone call to alert them that the requested information has not been received. If all information is not in by April 1, 2009 we cannot guarantee the timely submission of your tax return.
